Ham and split pea soup. Well imagine that I really did not think this would be my first recipe post. But in all honesty it is probably a great first recipe.
Why? Because it it the perfect cheap staple food.
I think everyone is feeling the constraints of inflation in one way or another. What a perfect recipe to go up first as it is one of my most economical recipes. I think we could all use to save a little wherever we can.
Ham and split pea soup is actually one of my children’s favorites. They have been eating it since they were little so they know the yummy flavor that comes from the mush like soup. I think may people try to add too much into this simple soup. The flavor really comes from ham bone.
So I decided to share it all with you all. With you momma’s looking for a budget friendly meal. Or even for my oldest son who is married and does a lot of the cooking. He would love the simplicity of this recipe I hope you all enjoy it too!
