My oh my if you have never tasted dandelion jelly you sure are missing out! This delicious honey like flavor can be used in so many places! Bread, crackers, you can even use it to sweeten your tea. We call it sunshine jelly because if you could taste the sun I’m sure this would be it!
I love dandelions! They have so many useful parts yet so many people see them as a nusence and try to mow them all away! Dandelions actually bring the needed calcium to the soil. Soil that is depleted will often times grow dandelions. Yeap God is so awesome like that.
You can uses the leaves of dandelions in a salad or sauteed. You can use the roots for a liver friendly coffee substitute. They are so healing you can make tinctures out of them. A root is the perfect liver cleanse!
We love home canned jams and jellies. I don’t actually think most of my children have ever had a store bought jelly. Well thats not true my mother brough longberry jelly for Thanksgiving. Aside from that no store bought jelly here. They all have there favorite blends or flavors. Some like the dandelion jelly have many hands waiting to grab that jar.
