I love going blackberry picking with my children. The hot summer with little ones running around with little black cheeks and chins. There nothing quite like it!
One of our favorite thing to make is blackberry jam! There nothing like that summer taste scooped into a bowl of oatmeal in the middle of winter. Capturing that mid summer freshness.
I love this specific recipe because you do not need to buy additional pectin. Which can get quite pricey when you are making large batches. Well you all know this family of 14 needs large batches of just about everything!
Most of my children call it black beary jam because the places we forage could potentially have black bears so we tell them to keep together and make a bit of noise!
